Chris Rock expresses interest in returning for Madagascar 4

Comedian Chris Rock has expressed interest in returning to voice Marty the Zebra in a fourth Madagascar film. In a recent interview with Variety, Rock noted the massive success of the DreamWorks animated franchise, which has grossed over $1.8 billion worldwide across three installments.

Rock used humor to discuss his desire for a sequel, jokingly referencing his financial situation following a divorce. He remarked, “I don’t have Madagascar money anymore,” and compared his experience to Ray Romano, who voiced characters in five Ice Age films.

The original Madagascar trilogy, featuring voices such as Ben Stiller, David Schwimmer, and Jada Pinkett Smith, ran from 2005 to 2012. While Rock has made a public plea for a reunion, co-director Tom McGrath has previously indicated that a fourth movie has been in development.
