Chris Stapleton Guns N’ Roses Toronto Knockin’ on Heaven’s Door Rogers Stadium

Country singer Chris Stapleton made a surprise appearance at Guns N’ Roses’ concert in Toronto on August 5, 2026. The performance took place at Rogers Stadium, where Stapleton joined frontman Axl Rose and the band to cover Bob Dylan’s classic “Knockin’ on Heaven’s Door.” He sang alongside Rose, played rhythm guitar, and was joined by guitarist Slash and bassist Duff McKagan.

The cameo marks a full‑circle moment for Stapleton, who first opened for Guns N’ Roses during their 2016 reunion tour. Their collaboration continues with Stapleton’s recent contribution to Slash’s 2024 blues‑covers album, which topped Billboard’s Blues Albums chart.
