Chris Waller prepares strong team for Winx Stakes

Trainer Chris Waller is preparing a large contingent of horses for the upcoming Group One Winx Stakes. During exhibition gallops at Rosehill, several of Waller’s stablemates demonstrated readiness for the 1400-metre feature race.

Star mare Autumn Glow is expected to be a leading contender, receiving a positive endorsement from jockey James McDonald, who noted she has been working “sharper and sharper.” Other horses likely to be nominated for the Winx Stakes include Beiwacht, Lady Shenandoah, and Autumn Boy.

Waller indicated that final decisions regarding the number of entries will be made later in the week based on which horses are ready to run. Other stable members, such as Campione D’Italia, are being aimed at different races, including the Show County Quality.
