Chris Young recalls first No. 1 hit celebration with Kenny Chesney

Country music artist Chris Young recently shared details regarding the celebration of his first No. 1 hit, ‘Gettin’ You Home (The Black Dress Song)’. The song, which Young co-wrote with Cory Batten and Kent Blazy, reached the top of the charts on October 24, 2009.

Young recounted that while traveling through an airport, he received a phone call from Kenny Chesney, who called to congratulate him on the achievement. Following the call, Young met Chesney at the Red Door, a saloon in Nashville, where Chesney bought him a beer to mark the milestone.
