Christ Penelope resurfaces in viral controversy over healing rituals

Christ Penelope, leader of the SevenFold Holy Spirit Ministries in Limpopo, South Africa, has resurfaced in viral discussions due to his controversial healing rituals. Although the events primarily occurred during 2020 and 2021, the practice involves Penelope sitting on the heads or faces of congregants.

Penelope claims that this act allows the Holy Spirit to act through him, asserting that the “healing power” must enter through the nostrils of his followers. While critics and medical professionals have condemned the practice, Penelope has defended his actions, stating, “I am not farting on people; I am healing people.”

Reports indicate that despite widespread public and religious criticism, some followers have participated in the rituals, with some even attempting to collect the air released during the sessions in containers.
