Christian Bale opens $22M foster care village in Palmdale

Actor Christian Bale has inaugurated Together California, a $22 million foster care village located in Palmdale, California. The facility is designed to provide a stable environment for children in the foster care system, with a specific mission to prevent the separation of siblings during the placement process.

The 11,000-square-foot complex consists of 12 fully furnished homes, including two studio apartments intended for individuals transitioning out of foster care. The project aims to offer more than just housing by providing programs focused on psychological support, education, and long-term stability.

Developed through a partnership between Bale and Executive Director Tim McCormick, the initiative received significant financial backing, including nearly $9 million from the Austrian American Council West. Officials stated that the first residents are expected to move into the community starting next month.
