Christian Bradley Williams arraigned for alleged rape aboard Nantucket yacht

Christian Bradley Williams, 54, a former U.S. Navy commander from Florida, has been arraigned on charges of rape and indecent assault and battery following an incident aboard his yacht, the ‘Chimera,’ in Nantucket Harbor.

The alleged assault occurred on August 9, shortly after Williams’ wife, toddler son, and nanny had departed the vessel for Florida. The victim, a 22-year-old deckhand who had been working for Williams since June, reported that the suspect made several inappropriate comments and pressured her into a dinner outing while attempting to hide the transaction from his wife.

According to police reports, the victim stated she felt increasingly nervous throughout the evening. She reported that after consuming a rum beverage prepared by Williams, she began to feel dizzy and lost her vision. Williams has pleaded not guilty to the charges.
