Christian Gonzalez expected to return for Patriots against Jets

New England Patriots cornerback Christian Gonzalez is set to return to the lineup this Sunday against the New York Jets following a shoulder injury that sidelined him for two games. After missing Week 4 and Week 5, Gonzalez participated in full practice on Thursday.

During his absence, the Patriots' defense allowed 21.5 points per game, compared to a season average of 18.8. Gonzalez, who holds a four-year, $135 million contract extension, has recorded eight tackles and five pass breakups through three games this season.
