Christian Horner linked to potential Aston Martin F1 team‑principal role

Former Red Bull Racing team boss Christian Horner is being linked to a possible return to Formula 1 as team principal of Aston Martin. Speculation in the British press intensified ahead of the British Grand Prix, and the team issued a standard comment that it does not discuss rumours. Owner Lawrence Stroll has reportedly been in talks with Horner, who is said to seek a role that includes equity participation rather than a conventional salaried position.

Horner, now a consultant at Oakley Capital, previously rejected an approach from Ferrari after Bernie Ecclestone attempted to persuade him. Earlier negotiations with Aston Martin fell through, and other clubs such as Alpine, BYD and Ferrari have also been mentioned in connection with his next move. No agreement has been confirmed and the discussions are ongoing.
