Christian Lundgaard signs multi-year deal with Chip Ganassi Racing

Chip Ganassi Racing has signed Danish driver Christian Lundgaard to a multi-year contract to compete in the NTT IndyCar Series. Lundgaard is scheduled to drive the No. 9 PNC Bank Honda starting in the 2027 season.

Lundgaard will join a three-car lineup alongside teammates Alex Palou and Kyffin Simpson. He replaces veteran driver Scott Dixon, who is departing for Arrow McLaren.

The 25-year-old driver enters the deal following a successful 2026 campaign in which he secured victories at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway Road Course and Road America, ultimately finishing third in the championship standings. In his 87 career IndyCar starts, Lundgaard has recorded three wins and 16 podium finishes.
