Christian man in Egypt wins Umrah trip for Muslim neighbor

A Christian man in Egypt named Mina has gained social media attention after winning a free Umrah pilgrimage trip through an Islamic religious competition. Despite his own faith, Mina entered the contest, which tested knowledge of the Quran, with the specific intention of gifting the prize to his Muslim neighbor, Um Ali.

Mina observed a social media livestream hosted by preacher Dr. Ayman Abu Omar and noticed his neighbor participating in hopes of winning the trip. To increase the chances of success, Mina entered the competition himself and reportedly submitted correct answers multiple times.

Um Ali, who has been a neighbor for over 20 years, expressed deep emotion upon learning she would be able to fulfill her long-held wish to perform the pilgrimage while she is still physically able to travel.
