Christian McCaffrey discusses Australian slang and new brand partnership

San Francisco 49ers running back Christian McCaffrey has shared experiences from his recent trip to Australia following a victory over the Los Angeles Rams in Melbourne. During a haircut, a barber complimented him by saying, “Looks cracker,” a term used in Australian slang to mean excellent or great. McCaffrey noted the potential for confusion, as the word carries a different, derogatory connotation in the United States.

In addition to his football activities, McCaffrey has been named the first NFL brand ambassador for the luxury sportswear brand Peter Millar. He will serve as the face of the brand’s new Fall 2026 men’s collection, titled Pursuit, which focuses on lightweight outerwear and refined performance apparel.
