Proverbs 27:17 Fitness, a men‑only Christian gym in Oklahoma City founded by Jeff Hambrecht, was created to offer a "lust‑free" environment where men can train without the perceived temptations of co‑ed gyms. A second facility, Remnant Gym in Denver, is slated to open next year under founder Mitch Parsons, who left four previous gyms because he was "tired of having nakedness shoved in my face every time I walked into a gym to train." Both gyms cite biblical inspiration from Proverbs 27:17 and aim to combine physical strength with spiritual fellowship.

The trend has also attracted attention from MAGA supporters, who are reported to be joining men‑only gyms to avoid "distraction," echoing the same rationale of preserving personal and marital fidelity.
