Macedonian PM Christian Micic Unveils New Cabinet, Rejects Presidential Run
Prime Minister Christian Micic announced a new cabinet as part of a government reconstruction. He named Sasho Klekovski, director of the Health Insurance Fund, as Minister of Health; Goco Velkovski as Minister of Social Policy, Demography and Youth; Ivan Stoilkovic as Minister of Local Self‑Government; Borche Serafimovski for Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management; Jeaton Shasivari as Minister of Justice; Sedat Sulejmani as Minister of Culture and Tourism; and appointed Erjan Demir to oversee Roma inclusion, among other portfolio changes. The reshuffle follows earlier proposals and is presented as a move toward greater efficiency and dynamism in the administration.
Micic also declared that he will not be a candidate in the upcoming presidential election, stating "I have no ambition to be a presidential candidate." He added that after his term ends he plans to return to university and study among students. Micic said his focus remains on leading VMRO‑DPMNE to another parliamentary victory, continuing reforms and the EU integration process, while refusing constitutional changes without clear guarantees.
