Cazzu and Christian Nodal clash over ‘Ley Cazzu’ and legal restrictions

Argentine singer Cazzu and Mexican singer Christian Nodal are engaged in a public dispute involving legal restrictions and the ‘Ley Cazzu’ legislative initiative in Mexico. The proposed law aims to prevent parents who are in arrears on child support from blocking essential travel documents and passports for their children.

Nodal’s legal team issued a statement denying that he is attempting to block the legislation. They clarified that while an amparo (legal injunction) was filed, its purpose is not to stop the law itself, but to challenge the use of the name ‘Ley Cazzu’ and the narrative surrounding it, which they claim uses a false version of his daughter’s life to promote the initiative. Nodal’s representatives also denied allegations that he is a child support debtor.

Cazzu responded by claiming she has been “legally and unjustly silenced,” preventing her from sharing her full perspective on their relationship and the upbringing of their daughter, Inti. She accused Nodal of using “lies and manipulation” to control the situation. The dispute has also drawn reactions from Nodal’s wife, Ángela Aguilar, who posted a brief message on social media amid the controversy.
