Christian Nodal’s Father Denies Family Rift Over Name Rights and Relationship with Ángela Aguilar

Jaime González, the father of Mexican singer Christian Nodal, publicly refuted circulating rumors of a family conflict. In interviews, he emphasized that his relationship with his son remains good, stating, “Estamos bien, gracias a Dios. No hay problemas de nada. Temas de dinero no tenemos, comunicación sí. Hablé con él hace dos días.” He also clarified that the commercial rights to the “Christian Nodal” name are still registered in his name as part of the original investment structure, but there is no legal dispute and the rights are being discussed for return.

Addressing speculation about Nodal’s partnership with fellow artist Ángela Aguilar, González dismissed claims of a breakup or family tension, telling reporters, “No, yo nunca me he enterado de eso. Eso creo que es falso también.” He defended Aguilar against online hostility, saying the negative attention is “terrible” and undeserved.
