Christian Pulisic returns to prominence for AC Milan

Christian Pulisic has returned to form for AC Milan following a period of physical setbacks. After a convincing second-half performance against Lazio, the American midfielder demonstrated his ability to influence the attacking third, a key area where the team has recently struggled.

His delayed integration into the squad was attributed to a combination of factors. Manager Ruben Amorim explained that Pulisic suffered an injury during the summer and was further hindered by a blow received during his first training session upon returning. Additionally, the manager emphasized a meritocratic approach to squad selection, stating he would not bench players performing well simply to accommodate high-profile names.

Pulisic’s recovery follows a difficult period that included a microfracture in his tibia sustained while playing for the United States during the World Cup. This injury significantly impacted his summer preparation and contributed to a goal drought that had lasted since December.
