Christian Sønstebø featured in TV 2 documentary ‘Kollaps’

The TV 2 documentary series ‘Kollaps – Profeten fra Bærum’ explores the life of Christian Sønstebø, a former financier and billionaire who now leads an alternative community at Nordhaug farm in Bærum, Norway.

Sønstebø, described as a charismatic leader and conspiracy theorist, manages a collective of approximately thirty adults and children. The community operates on principles of self-sufficiency and distrust of mainstream political, economic, and medical systems. Sønstebø expresses views against vaccinations and mainstream media, while preparing the farm for a perceived societal collapse.

The series, directed by Finn-Erik Rognan, has drawn attention for its depiction of extreme alternative movements. While some critics have questioned the ethics of the documentary's approach, others note that it highlights the potential for danger within such closed environments. Sønstebø initially attempted to sue the creators of the documentary before withdrawing the legal action.
