Christian Sønstebø responds to controversial documentary

Christian Sønstebø, the subject of the TV 2 documentary ‘Kollaps – Profeten i Bærum’, has spoken out regarding the series, claiming it presents a misleading portrayal of his character. In a recent podcast appearance, Sønstebø addressed the massive public attention following the documentary, which followed him and an alternative community at Nordhaug farm in Bærum for two years.

Sønstebø discussed various aspects of his life, including drug use, his former success as an entrepreneur running a technology company in 30 countries, and the physical and mental toll of his previous professional responsibilities. He specifically addressed the ‘prophet’ label used in the documentary, stating that he has never referred to himself as such, nor has anyone close to him.

The documentary, directed by Finn-Erik Rognan, explored themes of faith, sexuality, and societal views within the Nordhaug environment and has sparked significant controversy and conflict between the subjects and the broadcaster.
