Christianssæde Castle Reopens with World Ballet Performance

Christianssæde Castle on Lolland, Denmark, opened its doors to the public for the first time in more than 40 years after an extensive renovation funded by owner Andreas Just Karberg. The reopening event on Tuesday evening featured a special performance by the World Ballet, attracting nearly 1,000 guests from the local area and other parts of the country. The castle, which had been vacant since before 2019, served as the backdrop for the ballet, marking the ninth stop on the World Ballet’s tour.

Visitors praised the restored venue, noting the historic significance of seeing the once‑dilapidated estate revived and used for a major cultural showcase.
