Christie's auctions 'The Devil Wears Prada 2' wardrobe for charity

Christie's in New York is hosting a digital auction of garments and accessories from the film sequel 'The Devil Wears Prada 2'. The auction, which runs from September 1 to September 15, features various high-profile items, including a Gabriela Hearst 'Niki' dress worn by Anne Hathaway's character, a Dries Van Notten tassel jacket worn by Meryl Streep, and a black feathered dress used by Lady Gaga in the 'Runway' music video.

Conceived by Meryl Streep, the auction aims to raise funds for the Committee to Protect Journalists (CPJ) and the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA). The collection includes approximately thirty items and experiences, such as a consultation with costume designer Molly Rogers and access to Paris Fashion Week. The initiative seeks to support the journalism and fashion communities while encouraging younger generations to enter the world of collecting.
