Christina A. Apostolou Foundation marks 20 years with new medical support for patients in France

The Christina A. Apostolou Foundation celebrated its 20th anniversary during the ‘Festival of Love and Humanity 2026’ held at the Larnaca Municipal Park on September 26. The event, held under the auspices of Cyprus Minister of Health Neofytos Charalampides, was dedicated to the memory of founding members Sofia Louka and Andreas Limpouri.

During the event, Minister Charalampides announced a new support service for Cypriot patients traveling to France for specialized medical treatments. Starting October 2, 2026, a dedicated staff member will be stationed at the Embassy of the Republic of Cyprus in Paris to assist these patients and their families during their stay.

Foundation President Lakis Apostolou reflected on two decades of supporting families and children with chronic illnesses, particularly those forced to seek treatment abroad. Larnaca Mayor Andreas Vyras and Patient Ombudsman Marios Charalampides also attended, emphasizing the importance of continued cooperation between the foundation and health authorities.
