Christina Aguilera discusses sexuality and childhood trauma

In recent appearances on the ‘Call Her Daddy’ podcast, American singer Christina Aguilera has shared personal insights regarding her sexuality and her history of domestic abuse.

Discussing intimacy, Aguilera emphasized the importance of women embracing their desires and understanding their own bodies. She noted that sexual health begins with self-discovery and expressed that there is no reason for shame regarding sexual preferences or the use of intimacy aids.

Aguilera also addressed the lasting impact of a chaotic childhood shaped by domestic violence. She described feeling a sense of isolation and a responsibility to act as a protector during her early years. Reflecting on the trauma, she stated, “At 42, I’m still affected by this. It’s under the surface. Trauma never leaves you.” She expressed a desire to use her platform to empower those who feel voiceless and acknowledged the complex barriers, such as fear and financial instability, that prevent individuals from leaving abusive situations.
