Christina Block Faces Possible Arrest Warrant in Hamburg Trial
During the 64th day of the criminal trial in Hamburg, the presiding judge, Isabel Hildebrandt, accused defendant Christina Block of attempting to conceal evidence after she allegedly handed a dossier to a child‑psychiatrist expert ahead of a scheduled hearing. The judge described the act as a "attempted concealment" and warned that it could justify an arrest warrant.
The Hamburg state prosecutor agreed that the legal criteria for a detention order appeared to be met and said the court would decide whether to issue a warrant. Block, represented by lawyer Ingo Bott, denied intentional wrongdoing, claiming the documents were passed inadvertently and that she had no intent to influence the expert or hide evidence. The court also ordered the courtroom to be closed to the public and press for the remainder of the day to protect the privacy of the children involved.
The case continues to attract media attention as the judge and prosecutors consider possible sanctions, while Block maintains that the incident was a mistake.
