Christina Block trial continues over child abduction allegations
The trial of German entrepreneur Christina Block continues in Hamburg, following allegations that she commissioned an Israeli security firm to abduct her two children from Denmark during the 2023/2024 New Year period. The children, aged 10 and 13 at the time, were reportedly taken from their father, Stephan Hensel, and brought to Germany.
During recent proceedings, defense attorneys expressed frustration after parts of a non-public expert report regarding the psychological impact on the children were leaked to the press. Presiding Judge Isabel Hildebrandt rejected claims that the court is responsible for such leaks, stating she is not a ‘babysitter’ for the participants.
In addition to Block, several others face charges, including her partner, former sports presenter Gerhard Delling, who is accused of aiding and abetting. One 37-year-old Israeli defendant has reportedly admitted to the allegations. The court has scheduled further questioning of the lead police investigator, who previously testified that Block made statements during initial interviews that could be interpreted as a partial confession.
