Christina Bohannan seeks third attempt at Iowa House seat

Democrat Christina Bohannan is seeking election to Iowa’s 1st Congressional District for a third time, following losses to Republican Representative Mariannette Miller-Meeks in 2022 and 2024.

Bohannan, a university professor, is focusing her campaign on rural counties to narrow the Republican margin. In the 2024 election, she lost by only 799 votes, a significant improvement from her 23,000-vote deficit in 2022.
