Christine Fréchette proposes lower school expenses for families

Christine Fréchette and the Coalition Avenir Québec (CAQ) have announced measures to reduce school-related expenses for families. The initiative aims to bolster the existing 'Plan Famille' by increasing support for back-to-school costs and providing greater reimbursement for school-based childcare fees.

Under the proposed plan, the current back-to-school supplement of $127 per child could nearly double to $250, depending on family income. The increase is intended to better reflect the actual costs of supplies, clothing, and equipment. The measures are designed to provide more significant relief to lower-income households.
