Christine Taylor recalls weight loss requirement for ‘The Brady Bunch Movie’

Actress Christine Taylor recently shared details regarding her casting in the 1995 film ‘The Brady Bunch Movie’. Appearing on the ‘Office Ladies’ podcast, Taylor revealed that producers required her to lose approximately 10 pounds (about 5 kilograms) to secure the role of Marcia Brady.

Taylor, a lifelong fan of the original series, noted that while she did not consider herself overweight, the request was embarrassing. She explained that the weight loss was not permanent, as she regained the weight during filming, partly due to consuming frozen yogurt with sprinkles during production. She noted that such requirements would likely not be made in the modern film industry.
