Christine Villemin sues former journalist for defamation

Forty-two years after the murder of Grégory Villemin, Christine Villemin is appearing before the Paris Criminal Court in a defamation lawsuit against former journalist Marie-France Lefèvre-Bezzina.

Lefèvre-Bezzina is accused of using social media to persist in suggesting the guilt of Christine Villemin, despite her being cleared by the justice system. The defendant has reportedly made various hostile assertions on Facebook, including posts implying the Villemin family's involvement in the 1984 crime.

The case stems from the unsolved 1984 murder of the young boy, an event that involved a series of anonymous threatening letters and calls from a 'corbeau' (raven) that terrorized the family.
