Christmas preparations begin in Murcia and Sagunt

Holiday preparations are underway in several Spanish cities. In Murcia, the installation of the Cortylandia attraction has begun on Avenida de la Libertad. This year, the city will host the ‘Cortylandia Express’ show, a classic train station-themed production featuring over 25 animated characters, including a bear station master and a wolf conductor. This setup follows the 2025 premiere in Madrid’s Preciados street.

In Sagunt, the municipal government has accelerated the installation of Christmas lighting. The current contract with Iluminaciones Ximénez includes the setup of 130 arches, 3D figures, and various decorative elements. Notably, the contract specifications exclude figures of Santa Claus and snowmen. While lighting installation is ahead of schedule, the city is still seeking bids for the organization of its Christmas markets after a previous tender received no offers.
