Christoph Eck-Schmidt appointed CEO of Germany's BILD Group

Christoph Eck‑Schmidt will become chief executive officer of the BILD Group on 1 August 2026, succeeding Carolin Hulshoff Pol, who is moving to head the Telegraph Media Group within the Axel Springer conglomerate.

Eck‑Schmidt, presently Axel Springer’s chief commercial and marketing officer, also leads the shopping portal Bonial and previously ran media‑marketing firm Media Impact. He will assume overall strategic and operational responsibility for Germany’s highest‑circulation media brand, emphasizing digital transformation and market growth.
