Paris Saint-Germain pays €3.3M for priority rights to Mario Dorgeles
Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) has reportedly paid €3.3 million to SC Braga to secure a priority purchase right for 22-year-old Ivorian midfielder Mario Dorgeles. This agreement, revealed through Braga's annual report, grants PSG an exclusive right of first refusal should the club decide to sell the player in the future. The transaction highlights the strategic link between the two clubs, as Qatar Sports Investments (QSI) holds a significant stake in SC Braga.
This move aligns with a broader shift in PSG's sporting policy under Luis Campos and manager Luis Enrique. Rather than focusing solely on established stars, the club is prioritizing the recruitment of young, high-potential talent. Other players currently being monitored by the club include JJ Gabriel from Manchester United, Sergio Camello, and Alberto Costa.
Former PSG coach Christophe Galtier has praised this new direction, noting that the club is building a talented, dynamic squad that fits Enrique's philosophy. Additionally, discussions regarding player positioning, such as the tactical evolution of Désiré Doué, reflect the club's focus on technical development and long-term project integration.
