Christopher Abbott discusses Professor X reveal for X-Men

Actor Christopher Abbott has described his recent reveal as the new Professor X for the upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe X-Men reboot as being “a bit of a dream and a nightmare.” Speaking about his experience at the D23 event, Abbott noted that his initial enthusiasm shifted when he perceived the audience's reaction as muted, leading him to feel that many attendees were unfamiliar with his work.

The upcoming film, directed by Jake Schreier, is scheduled for release on May 5, 2028. The production serves as a reboot for the franchise following 2019’s “Dark Phoenix.”

In addition to Abbott, the cast includes Kit Connor as Scott Summers/Cyclops, Sadie Sink as Jean Grey, Inde Navarrette as Rogue, Maya Boyd as Storm, Samara Weaving as Emma Frost, and Adam Driver as Mr. Sinister.
