Christopher E. Freund resigns from F88 Board of Directors

Christopher E. Freund, the founder of Mekong Capital, has officially resigned from the Board of Directors of F88. The resignation, based on personal wishes, became effective on September 8, 2026, following a resolution from the General Meeting of Shareholders. This change reduces the number of F88 board members from six to five.

Freund is a prominent figure in Vietnam's private equity industry. His firm, Mekong Capital, has been a long-term financial investor in F88, participating in significant funding rounds including a $6 million investment in 2020 and a $20 million investment during a $50 million Series C round three years later.

This leadership change occurs as F88 reports strong financial growth. In the first half of 2026, the company reported a post-tax profit of 545 billion VND, representing a 114% increase compared to the same period the previous year.
