Christopher James and Jim James release new musical projects

Country artist Christopher James has released a new single titled ‘What If I’ through Young Outlaw Music. The track explores the artist's desire to move beyond traditional genre boundaries, blending modern production with influences from 1990s country. James wrote and recorded the song at home over three days, performing most instruments himself.

In a separate musical development, Jim James, frontman of My Morning Jacket, is releasing ‘Wowed Out’ (ATO). The project consists of rescued material from a film score recorded over a decade ago with percussionist Brian Reitzell. After being dismissed from the original film project, James revisited the archival sessions, which eventually evolved into a full album.
