Christopher Lambert collapses at Pittsburgh fan convention
Christopher Lambert, the 69-year-old actor known for his role in ‘Highlander’, suffered a medical emergency during the Steel City Con in Pittsburgh. While signing autographs on Saturday, Lambert reportedly collapsed and was transported to a local hospital by ambulance.
Representatives for the actor stated that he is “perfectly ok” and was resting in his hotel room. The incident was attributed to a drop in blood sugar caused by a lack of sleep and insufficient food throughout the day. Convention organizers also noted that he had been feeling overheated and dehydrated.
While initial plans suggested a return to the convention on Sunday, organizers later announced that Lambert would be unable to attend his remaining scheduled appearances. He is expected to participate in upcoming events, including Fan Expo Chicago next week.
