Christopher Melenciano receives new home from MIVED

Dominican medalist Christopher Melenciano and his mother, Marisol Reyes, have received a new home through the Ministry of Housing and Buildings (MIVED). The handover was led by Housing Minister Jean Luis Rodríguez and Sports Minister Kelvin Cruz.

The new apartment features three bedrooms, two bathrooms, a living room, and a dining area, located within a secure complex with controlled access. The initiative follows Melenciano’s public request for safer living conditions after leaks in his previous residence in Capotillo forced his family to temporarily relocate to Villa Mella.

Minister Rodríguez noted that the delivery fulfills a commitment made by the president to support the athlete. Minister Cruz added that the housing serves as recognition for Melenciano’s sporting achievements and his contributions to representing the Dominican Republic internationally.
