Christopher Nkunku returns to RB Leipzig on loan

Christopher Nkunku is set to make his Bundesliga return with RB Leipzig following a loan move from AC Milan. The 28-year-old Frenchman, who previously served as a top scorer for the club, is expected to feature in the upcoming match against Borussia Mönchengladbach.

RB Leipzig head coach Martín Demichelis praised Nkunku’s professionalism and intelligence, noting his versatility to play on both wings, as a center-forward, or as a false nine. Due to squad registration constraints and the unavailability of his preferred number 18, Nkunku will wear the number 28 for the upcoming season.

The return comes amid significant changes at the club, including the departure of players like Xavi Simons and Yan Diomande. Under Demichelis, the team aims to build on their third-place finish from the previous season and compete in the UEFA Champions League.
