Christopher Nkunku to return to RB Leipzig from AC Milan

Christopher Nkunku is set to return to RB Leipzig from AC Milan following a verbal agreement between the two clubs. The French attacker, who spent only one season in Italy, was reportedly excluded from the technical project of Milan manager Ruben Amorim.

The transfer is structured as a paid loan valued between €3.5 million and €4 million, which includes an option to buy for approximately €28 million to €30 million. While Newcastle United expressed interest in the player, Nkunku reportedly preferred a return to the Bundesliga club where he previously played from 2019 to 2023.

Nkunku recorded 8 goals and 3 assists in 35 to 40 appearances during his single season at Milan. Medical examinations are expected to take place shortly to finalize the move.
