Christopher Nolan says he's scared to direct a romantic comedy as 'The Odyssey' promotion highlights fashion
Director Christopher Nolan told Jimmy Fallon on The Tonight Show that he would be "very afraid" to make a romantic‑comedy film, describing the genre as "extremely difficult" because it requires making audiences laugh and leaves no room for error.
At the same time, the promotional tour for Nolan’s new Hollywood epic The Odyssey has drawn attention for its use of “method dressing.” Actors on red‑carpet events have worn clothing inspired by ancient Greek silhouettes, draped fabrics and metallic accents, turning fashion into part of the film’s narrative and sparking discussion on social media.
The film, starring Matt Damon, Tom Holland and Anne Hathaway, is currently in theaters, and its marketing strategy is being noted for blending cinematic storytelling with contemporary style trends.
