Christopher Nolan's 'Odyssey' Cast Visits South Korea

Hollywood director Christopher Nolan arrived in Seoul in early January for the South Korean launch of his new blockbuster "Odyssey," based on Homer's epic. He was joined by lead actor Matt Damon, who appeared in the film as Odysseus, and actress Charlize Theron. The trio held a press conference at the Four Seasons Hotel in Jongno and met with producer Emma Thomas.

During the promotional tour, Damon attended a Korean Baseball Organization game at Gocheok Sky Dome, wearing a Kiwoom Heroes uniform, signing a baseball for a young fan and praising the stadium atmosphere. Nolan and Theron also made public appearances, sampling local food and visiting a café, while Theron expressed her affection for Korean culture. The visit marks Nolan's first trip to Korea, Theron's first official Korean appearance, and Damon’s first Korean visit in a decade, ahead of the film’s May 5 release in the country.
