Christopher Nolan's 'The Odyssey' Unveils New Poster and BTS Video as Ticket Sales Begin

Universal Pictures released a new poster for Christopher Nolan’s upcoming film The Odyssey and a behind‑the‑scenes featurette that runs just over a minute. The promotional materials include interviews with lead actors Matt Damon, Zendaya, Tom Holland and Robert Pattinson, and showcase the film’s practical effects such as real wooden Greek ships, a giant Trojan Horse and expansive natural sets.

Tickets for the movie go on sale tomorrow, ahead of its worldwide theatrical launch on July 17, 2026 in IMAX format, shot entirely with IMAX film cameras. The studio also announced a special three‑week screening at the historic Village Theatre prior to its renovation.

The film adapts Homer’s epic on a large scale, with Nolan emphasizing a balance of spectacle and human drama while maintaining his preference for practical filmmaking over heavy CGI.
