Christopher Vivell linked to top Bayern Munich recruitment role

Christopher Vivell, the director of recruitment at Manchester United, has emerged as a candidate to replace Nils Schmadtke at Bayern Munich. Bayern is reportedly preparing to dismiss Schmadtke, and Vivell is being considered for the role due to a professional relationship with Bayern's sporting director, Christoph Freund.

Vivell has been a key figure in Manchester United's transfer activities, including the pursuit of Benjamin Sesko and the signing of Andrey Santos. His potential departure could impact United's recruitment structure, as his current contract at Old Trafford is set to run until the summer of 2027.

Additionally, reports suggest Bayern Munich maintains an interest in Benjamin Sesko, who joined Manchester United from RB Leipzig last summer. While Sesko was previously viewed as a potential long-term successor to Harry Kane, Manchester United is unlikely to consider selling the striker following his successful debut campaign.
