Christopher Wallace Jr. challenges grandmother's will

Christopher Wallace Jr., the son of the late rapper Notorious B.I.G., has filed a legal challenge against the will of his grandmother, Voleta Wallace. The dispute centers on allegations that the will was drastically modified just 15 days before her death.

A 2020 version of the will reportedly designated Wallace’s grandchildren as beneficiaries of an estate containing jewelry, music awards, property in Jamaica, and interests in companies managing the rapper's intellectual property. However, the contested modification allegedly names Wayne Barrow, Biggie’s former manager and current executor, as the primary beneficiary, removing the grandchildren.

In court filings, Wallace Jr. claims his grandmother’s declining health rendered her unable to make rational decisions during the period the changes were made. He also asserts that the signatures on the modified document are “facially inconsistent.” Wallace Jr. is seeking to have the latest will invalidated and to remove Barrow as the executor of the estate.
