Christos Dimas addresses Kypseli property damage and metro works
Greek Minister of Infrastructure and Transport, Christos Dimas, has addressed concerns regarding cracks appearing in residential buildings in the Kypseli neighborhood due to construction work on Metro Line 4. Dimas stated that the Technical Chamber of Greece (TEE) has appointed independent experts to record and assess the damage.
The Minister emphasized that the contractor will bear the full cost of all necessary repairs. He noted that Elliniko Metro, the contractor, and the TEE are working closely with affected residents to ensure a swift resolution.
Regarding the metro pontoon, Dimas mentioned that international experts have been consulted to ensure resident safety remains the top priority. Additionally, the Minister discussed environmental solutions for Rizari Park, ongoing works in Exarcheia, and the implementation of new technologies to increase transparency in driver's license examinations. To alleviate traffic in Attica, works at the Metamorfosi junction are expected to conclude by year-end, while a contract has been signed for the Skaramangas triple junction project.
