Greek actor Christos Fragkos has passed away at the age of 90. The news was shared by Spyros Mpimpilas, noting that the actor died on September 9.

Fragkos, born in Spata, studied acting at the National Theatre of Greece under notable teachers such as Alexis Minotis and Dimitris Rontiris. His career spanned decades in both theatre and television, including roles in popular series like ‘To Ouranio Toxo’ and ‘I Oikogeneia’. He performed extensively in ancient drama and toured internationally in Europe and Latin America.

A significant chapter of his life was his professional and personal partnership with actress and troupe leader Elsa Vergi. The couple married and worked together at the ‘Vergi Theatre’ until her death in 1989. Fragkos later managed the theatre independently until 1994.

His funeral is scheduled to take place on Monday, September 14, at 18:00 at the Holy Church of Agios Nikolaos in Spata.
