Christos Kellas attends religious and liberation commemorations in Farsala
Christos Kellas, a Member of Parliament for Larissa and former Deputy Minister of Rural Development and Food, attended the Panegyrical Vespers in Farsala to celebrate the Dormition of the Mother of God.
The religious holiday holds significant local meaning as it coincides with the anniversary of Farsala’s liberation from Ottoman rule in 1881. During the event, Kellas met with local residents and municipal representatives to discuss the importance of historical memory and regional development.
Kellas emphasized the government's priorities regarding supporting Greek peripheries, strengthening social cohesion, and creating opportunities for youth. He noted that emblematic water supply and irrigation projects are currently being implemented to support the region's future growth.
