Christow Show and Mottram Show Set Summer Dates

The Christow and District Show in Devon will mark its 95th anniversary on Saturday, 15 August, running from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Teign Valley Community Hall and Recreation Field. The event will feature traditional country competitions alongside modern attractions such as BMX stunts, timber‑chopping displays, Japanese drumming, and a licensed bar. Over 500 exhibits will showcase local produce, crafts and livestock, and the show will raise funds for the Devon Air Ambulance charity.

The Mottram Show in Tameside is scheduled for Sunday, 16 August, with an expected 3,000 visitors at the showground on Apple Street. The volunteer‑run event, which dates back to 1904, will offer horse, cattle and sheep competitions, vintage tractors, military vehicles, and a range of family entertainment. New accessibility features include a Calm Zone, wheelchair and mobility‑scooter hire, and improved facilities for families with infants. Proceeds support the Mottram & District Agricultural Society’s community programmes.
