Christy Carlson Romano claims Shia LaBeouf trash-talked Hilary Duff

Actress Christy Carlson Romano has revealed that her former ‘Even Stevens’ co-star Shia LaBeouf frequently spoke negatively about Hilary Duff and her Disney Channel series ‘Lizzie McGuire.’

Speaking on ‘The Joe Vulpis Podcast,’ Romano described LaBeouf as being highly competitive regarding network ratings. She suggested his drive to ensure ‘Even Stevens’ was the top-rated show may have been linked to his ‘rough upbringing.’

Romano noted that while Duff was unaware of the comments, LaBeouf appeared to have a one-sided rivalry with the ‘Lizzie McGuire’ production. Romano also reflected on her own professional upbringing compared to LaBeouf’s, describing their on-set relationship as being ‘like oil and water.’
