Chroma integrates Rohde & Schwarz oscilloscopes into ATS 8000 platform
Chroma has announced the integration of Rohde & Schwarz MXO Series oscilloscopes into its Power Conversion Device Automated Test System Model 8000 (ATS 8000). This integration is intended to address the complex testing requirements of high-power and high-channel-count applications, specifically those used in AI data center infrastructure.
As AI infrastructure drives increased power demand, vendors are developing higher-density designs and High-Voltage Direct Current (HVDC) architectures. The MXO Series, utilizing MXO-EP processing ASIC technology, offers waveform capture rates of up to 4.5 million acquisitions per second. This capability aims to reduce measurement blind spots and provide accurate real-time signal representation. The oscilloscopes feature advanced digital triggering, 18-bit resolution in HD mode, and low input sensitivity to detect small signal anomalies during the debugging and calibration of power conversion devices.
